Leadership Position Requirements

Senior Patrol Leader (SPL)*
           Elected by Patrol Members for 6 month term
            Must be at least 13 years old and at least First Class rank.
            Previous experience:  ASPL, PL, and/or White Stag Training.
            Must have 60% attendance last 6 months and commit to at least 80% attendendance for next 6 months.
            Training: Must attend Junior Leader Training (JLT) and annual planning conference.
            Reports to Scoutmaster.
Assistant Senior Patrol Leader (ASPL)*
            Elected by Troop for 6 month term
            Must be at least 13 years old and at least First Class rank.
            Previous experience:  none, White Stag Training recommended.
            Must have 60% attendance last 6 months and commit to at least 80% attendendance for next 6 months.
            Training: Must attend Junior Leader Training (JLT) and annual planning conference.
            Reports to SPL.
Patrol Leader (PL)*
           Elected by Patrol Members for 6 month term
            No age or rank requirements.
            Previous experience:  none.
            Must have 60% attendance last 6 months and commit to at least 80% attendendance for next 6 months.
            Training: Must attend Junior Leader Training (JLT) and annual planning conference.

Scribe*
           Elected by Troop for 6 month term
            Must be at least 13 years old and at least First Class rank.
            Previous experience:  ASPL, PL, and/or White Stag Training.
            Must have 60% attendance last 6 months and commit to at least 80% attendendance for next 6 months.
            Training: Must attend Junior Leader Training (JLT) and annual planning conference.
            Reports to SPL.
Chaplain Aide (CH)
           Elected by Troop for 6 month term
            Must be at least 13 years old and at least first class rank.
            Previous experience:  none.
            Must have 60% attendance last 6 months and commit to at least 80% attendendance for next 6 months.
            Training: As requested by the ASPL.
            Reports to ASPL.
Quartermaster (QM)
           Elected by Troop for 6 month term
            Must be at least 13 years old and at least first class rank.
            Previous experience:  none.
            Must have 50% attendance last 6 months and commit to at least 70% attendendance for next 6 months.
            Training: As requested by the ASPL.
            Reports to ASPL.
Historian (HIST)
           Elected by Troop for 6 month term
            Must be at least 13 years old and at least first class rank.
            Previous experience:  As requested by the ASPL..
            Must have 50% attendance last 6 months and commit to at least 70% attendendance for next 6 months.
            Training: As requested by the ASPL.
            Reports to ASPL.
Order of the Arrow Rep (O.A.)
           Elected by Troop for 6 month term
            Must be at least 13 years old and at least first class rank.
            Previous experience:  O.A. member in good standing.
            Must have 50% attendance last 6 months and commit to at least 70% attendendance for next 6 months.
            Training: As requested by the ASPL.
            Reports to ASPL.
Junior Assistant Scoutmaster (JASM)
           Elected by Troop for 6 month term
            Must be at least 16 years old and at least Life rank.
            Previous experience:  Previous leadership position.
            Must have 50% attendance last 6 months and commit to at least 70% attendendance for next 6 months.
            Training: Must attend Junior Leader Training (JLT) and annual planning conference.
            Reports to Scoutmaster.
Den Chief (DC)
           Elected by Troop for 6 month term
            Must be at least 12 years old and at least First Class rank.
            Previous experience:  . none
            Must have 50% attendance last 6 months and commit to at least 70% attendendance for next 6 months.
            Training: Must attend Den Chief Training.
            Reports to Den Leader and Scoutmaster.
Bugler (BUGLER)
           Elected by Troop for 6 month term
            Must be at least 13 years old and at least first class rank.
            Previous experience:  none.
            Must have 50% attendance last 6 months and commit to at least 70% attendendance for next 6 months.
            Training: Must be able to play trumpet or bugle.
            Reports to ASPL.
