Communication equals balance

posted Mar 6, 2015, 11:46 AM by Larry Stockton

Alot of our scouts balance commitments. Communication from a scout to his leaders help all understand, plan and move forward with scouting program. Please never drop from scouting based on your commitment level. Be practical and balanced with what you can take on in scouting.

Many youth activities are overly demanding; miss a practice and you can’t play a game, miss a rehearsal and you loose your part in the play. Scouting is the only activity I know of that encourages youth to balance commitments and interests so they can take advantage of all opportunities to learn and grow.

posted Sep 16, 2014, 5:47 PM by Noah Brennan

This weekend will be a fun weekend for our scout families at Summit Lake State Park. The troop trailer will be on site With all gear that you will need to cook. You will be responsible for your own food for the weekend but feel free to work with other families to coordinate meals together if you like. We will have the Best, Brennan, Kelley, Stockton, O'Connell, and Mulvey Families with us plus Mr. Lund. There is the standard State park entry fee. Bring your fishing poles if you wish, however being a state park you may need a fishing license. We'll have some scout skill family competitions and activities as well as some free time for boating and hiking. Please let us know if you need to use troop tents. We will have them on site but only have so many. We will meet up at the legion at 6pm Friday and caravan over. The state park is located at 5993 N Messick Rd, New Castle. It will take us about an hour to get there. Please let me know if you have questions or concerns.
